Bacon, 2007, and Rates Stabilizing

Bacon Quote of the Day: I want someone to look at me the way I look at bacon.” – Author Unknown

Today in Economic History: It was on this day in 1757 that the first Secretary of the Treasury, Alexander Hamilton, was born. (*note: Such an interesting man, someone should really make a play about his life).

Wuss’up This Week: Reports about our economy are released daily that can sway interest rates in either direction. Today we’ve got a 10-yr Note Auction (these make a great birthday gift), tomorrow Jobless Claims, and Retail Sales on Friday (these should be up, just bought a twelve-pack of socks at Target).

Interest Rates for a 30yr fixed give or take remain around 4.0% with ARM rates about a half a point lower. As usual, rates will vary based on type of home, equity in the home, your credit score, and if you like to reflect on what life was like ten years ago

Don’t Forget to Remember: Any purchase or refinance loan over $240k I will waive ALL lender fees – a $995 savings! Grab yourself a cup of instant karma and pass this info onto any friends, family, coworkers or any bridesmaids who are puppy fans (*note: would’ve been smarter move had the dresses been yellow)

Bacon Quote of the Day 2: I find if you sprinkle some bacon bits on a salad, but don’t actually add any salad, then it’s a pretty good salad.” – @lukeinvan

Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who last week guessed Britney Spears. And speaking of Spears…want to be entered into a drawing to win a Broccoli Spear Figurine? Simply email me the answer to this week’s Who Am I? question. Good luck: “It was on this day in 2012 I won the People’s Choice Best Actress Award for the superhero movie I was in. I’m not a superhero, and many times people confuse me for looking like a mean girl (maybe because of my impersonation on an SNL skit). A year before my superhero movie I was in a movie that people said I was crazy and/or stupid to have starred in, but I really loved it.
