Thanksgiving Quote of the Day: “Thanksgiving, man! Not a good day to be in my pants.” – Kevin James
Shhhh…all is quiet this week as we head into the long weekend. Today weekly jobless claims come out a day early, along with the Leading Economic Indicators (a report that indicates consumers’ willingness to spend) and the U. of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Report (it is my sentiment that their football team greatly underachieved this year). That’s basically it for any reports that can sway rates in either direction.
Rates continue to be really, really, really good. 30-year fixed rates remain in the low to mid 3s with ARM rates about a point lower. Only inflation and another Rambo movie could make rates turn on us…both of which will probably happen somewhere in the near future..
Don’t forget – for any purchase or refinance loans over $240k I will waive all lender fees, which is a $1,295 savings. Be a hero to someone and let them know!

Thanksgiving Quote of the Day 2:“If Thanksgiving is the day when Americans get together and overeat, what do they call the other 364 days of the year?” – Hieu Nguyen (@designersays)
Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who guessed New Kids on the Block last week. Want to be entered into a drawing to win free cable for a year? Simply email me the answer to this week’s “Who Am I?” question. Good luck: “I turn 67 today. In 1996 I starred in a film with Diane Keaton and Bette Midler that developed a cult following among middle-aged women. But you might know me better by my daughter, who is almost famous, or by my partner, who filmed a 1991 movie about fighting fires right here in Chicago.”
