Crying Girls, Rocking Trivia, and Low Rates – No Bull!
Charming Quote of the Day: “Forbidden things have a secret charm.” – Publius Cornelius Tacitus (note to my blog readers: had my parents named me ‘Publius’ I’m sure I’d have a slew of quotes about going thru puberty, getting made fun of, and getting beaten up in school).
Who wants to watch a little girl cry because Adam Levine got married? It’s exactly how I felt when Pamela Anderson got married for the fifth time.
Wuss’up This Week: Every week reports are released regarding the economy that can sway interest rates in either direction. Today we have Retail Sales, tomorrow Jobless Claims, and on Friday the Consumer Sentiment Report. This last report is a survey of 500 households in regards to their willingness to spend money. (The ATM machine that kept my card this morning tells me I’m not willing at all. Probably best since I was next door to a Krispy Kreme).
For what seems like the 100th week in a row interest rates are in the high-3s/low 4s for a 30yr fixed, with ARM rates about .50-75% lower. As usual rates will vary based on type of home, equity in the home, credit score, and if you think the clown or bull won this fight.
Don’t forget to remember: any purchase or refinance loan over $240k I will waive all lender fees – a $1,050 savings! Grab yourself a cup of instant karma and tell your friends, family, coworkers, and people who love Reeses peanut butter cups.
Charming Quote of the Day 2: “The fact that Fred Flintstone ate brontosaurus burgers seems less charming when you realize Dino was also a brontosaurus.” – @danagould
Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who guessed Simon Cowell last week. Want to be entered into a drawing to win a Meditating Man Candle? Simply email me the answer to this week’s Who Am I? question. Good luck: “It was on this day in 2004 I was arrested in France for driving my Porsche 134mph. Should I change my nickname to ‘Fast Foot’? My first band was not named for a coffee enhancer, and my second band was not named after a popular nursing home game. Yeah, two enormously successful bands – although some argue my best song (which came from a tragedy in my life) – was written and performed when in my solo career.”
