Don’t Mess With Mother

Nature Quote of the Day:“Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you.” – Frank Lloyd Wright

On Monday former Obama economic advisor Larry “Suzanne” Summers dropped his bid to become the next Fed Chairman. This caused rates to go up. That’s right – some guy you never heard of until now dropped out of the race and rates went up. Do you know what happened when I dropped out of the running for President of my 8th grade class? Nothing! Still a huge blow to my ego, but I’m working it out with my shrink. It’s not your problem – sorry I brought it up..

What else can move interest rates this week? Today the Fed meeting adjourns. Few expect the Fed to change rates but what they say will be analyzed to death and that can push rates in either direction. Also, tomorrow we have Weekly Jobless Claims (expected at 305k) and Leading Economic Indicators (expected up 0.6) which is a report on future economic activity. If those come in worse than expected rates may drop.

These Muppets should form their own support group.

Don’t forget to remember that for any purchase or refinance loan over $240k I will waive all lender fees – a $1,295 savings! That’s like Christmas, St. Patrick’s Day, and Pulaski Day all rolled up into one big party, Mortgage Fans. Want to be a hero to someone today? Please let your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, and neutered pets know what a great deal this is.

Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who guessed David Lee Roth last week. Want to be entered into a drawing to win an 80s jigsaw puzzle? Simply email me the answer to this week’s “Who Am I?” question. Good luck: “Tomorrow I turn 39. In Almost Famous I said the line ‘If you think Mick Jagger will still be out there trying to be a rock star at the age of 50 you are sadly, sadly mistaken.’ Most people forget I was in that movie. People remember me by my imitations of Tim Tebow, Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Hilary Swank, Adam Sandler, and many musicians! I was on SNL for many years because I like working late at night.”
