Fire Quote of the Day: “The most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire.” – Ferdinand Foch
Wuss’up This Week: This is one of those weeks where we have three reports coming out about jobs (today’s ADP Employment expected at 129k, tomorrow’s Weekly Jobless Claims expected at 306k, and Friday’s biggie the November Employment report, which is expected to show payrolls up by 185k and unemployment at 7.3%. Anything less than this will cause rates to possibly fall. And where are rates, you ask?
The 30-year fixed remains in the low-to-mid 4s with ARM rates about a point lower. Don’t forget that rates vary based on type of home, equity in the home, credit score, and if you’re one of these dudes posing with your pet.

I’m a big fan of background actors who don’t know what they’re doing.
Fire Quote of the Day 2: “When you say, ‘9 out of 10 forest fires are caused by humans,’ all I hear is, ‘There’s a bear out there who knows how to use matches.’” – Matt Roller (@rolldiggity)
Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who guessed Kathy Bates last week. Want to be entered into a drawing to win Ninja Men Cookie Cutters? Simply email me the answer to this week’s “Who Am I?” question. Good luck: “I turn 49 today. Back in the late 80s I was a cast member in the sitcom A Different World, and in the mid-90s I had a crush on George Costanza. But I’m known for my movies – my biggie was in 1993 when I won an Oscar for being an expert on cars. In 2008 I appeared completely naked on film – a decision I wrestled with for a while before agreeing to do it.”
