Growing Quote of the Day: “The real trouble with the world is that too many people grow up. They forget. They don’t remember what it’s like to be 12 years old. They patronize, they treat children as inferiors. Well I won’t do that.” – Walt Disney
This is one of those rare weeks that we’ll see three economic reports on employment (today’s ADP Employment Report, tomorrow’s Employment Figures, and Friday’s Employment for November, which is expected to show 75k new jobs and the unemployment rate at 8%). All three of these can sway interest rates in either direction but Friday’s packs the most power.
Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon remained on Billboard’s Top 100 LP chart for 741 weeks (from 1973 to 1988). From a historical point of view you can call the 30-year fixed the Pink Floyd of Rates, as they have been under 4% now since October of 2011. Can they stay below 4% for 15 years straight? No. Will they stay below 4% for all of 2013? Maybe. Did I start writing this paragraph without knowing how to finish it? Yes. So let me just let you know that rates are still beautiful. 30yr fixed remains in the low-to-mid 3s with ARM rates about a point lower.

Growing Quote of the Day 2: “I want to sneak into Shaquille O’Neal’s house and secretly replace his iPad with an iPad mini so he thinks he’s growing even larger.” – @theJohnBlog
Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who guessed Howie Mandel last week. Want to be entered into a drawing to win an “I miss Twinkies” button? Simply email me the answer to this week’s “Who Am I?” question. Good luck: “On Sunday I turned 31 – pretty old for someone who will see you pretty soon. Why? Because I like you even though a lot of people don’t like me and think I am white trash. Was it white trash to marry a guy people thought was George Costanza for such a short period of time? Yeah…I shoulda stuck with my friend with benefits.”
