Horses, Rates, and Cheesy Weddings
Horse Quote of the Day: “One reason why birds and horses are happy is because they are not trying to impress other birds and horses.” – Dale Carnegie

Wuss’up This Week: Every day reports about our economy are released into the wild that can sway interest rates in either direction, although this week is a quiet one. Today we’ve got Housing Starts, and tomorrow Jobless Claims. Any reports that are good for the economy can make rates drift up, and vice-versa if they come in short of expectations.
Interest rates ticked up ever so slightly last week – a 30yr fixed rate remains around 4.0% give or take, with ARM rates about a half a point lower. As usual rates will vary based on type of home, equity in the home, credit score, and if you had a Taco Bell wedding in Vegas.
Don’t Forget to Remember: Any purchase or refinance loan over $240k I will waive HALF of the lender fees – an $895 savings! Grab yourself a cup of instant karma and pass this info onto any friend, family, coworkers, or people that practice random acts of kindness that can use this gift.
Horse Quote of the Day 2: “If you’re a cowboy and you’re dragging a guy behind your horse, I bet it would really make you mad if you looked back and the guy was reading a magazine.” – Jack Handy
Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who last week guessed the Black Eyed Peas. Want to be entered into a drawing to win a Tony the Tiger Mug set? Simply email me the answer to this week’s Who Am I? question. Good luck: “Two days from now it would’ve been my birthday, but here I am in heaven looking at all the planets – one of them I was from early in my career. In the late 80s I wished everyone a good morning on the radio, and in ’97 I won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in a movie whose title is misleading since no animals were harmed or killed in the movie. Can’t do any more movies since I’m dead but believe me when I say heaven is a cool place. I can see Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, and Walt Whitman – all of who remind me of a title of another one of my movies.”
