Inspiration Quote of the Day: “Our chief want is someone who will inspire us to be what we know we could be.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night and thought, “If only Barry had a mortgage app I could put on my phone…” Wonder no more, Mortgage Fans. Just download my app to your phone and be able to access me instantly…it’s like a business card that takes up no space in your wallet and comes from the future. Please use it because it cost me over $243 dollars.
Did’ja Know…? You can send money to the Treasury to pay down the National Debt. Make the check payable to the Bureau of the Public Debt and write in the memo section that it’s a gift to reduce the debt held by the public. (Please note that any gift over $13k will be subject to a gift tax).
Wuss’up This Week: This is the biggie for employment reports that can shake interest rates in either direction (ADP Employment today, Weekly Jobless Claims tomorrow, and Friday’s July Employment which is expected to show + 273k jobs and unemployment down to 6.1%). Anything good for the economy will push rates up and anything bad might drive them down.
Interest rates remain in the low 4s for 30-yr fixed with ARM rates about a point lower. As usual rates will vary based on credit score, type of home, equity in the home, and if your home is in a state famous for something good or bad.
It never fails – whenever I’m driving this dude is always in front of me.
Now that we are in the middle of the summer here’s a reminder of the23 People Who Should Stay Away From the Beach.
Don’t forget to remember: For any purchase or refinance loan over $240k I will waive all lender fees – a $995 savings. Please forward this blog to any friends, family, coworkers, or people who have doubts about self-driving cars.
Inspiration Quote of the Day 2:“I just saw a guy with the word ‘integrity’ tattooed on the back of his leg & ‘inspiration’ on the other. Man, the backs of my legs are slackers.” – Joel McHale (@joelmchale)
Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who guessed Robert Downey, Jr. last week. Want to be entered into a drawing to win a toaster that will toast your face? Simply email me the answer to this week’s “Who Am I?” question. Good luck: “Tomorrow I turn 52. I’ve been a black belt in karate since the age of 12 which helped me not get beat up in prison! But let’s talk about the good stuff like my film debut in an 1986 football movie starring Goldie Hawn, or a 1989 baseball movie with a guy who liked winning, or a 1992 basketball movie with a white baller from Indiana (no, not Larry Bird; think beer).”
