Halloween Quote of the Day: “Got all my Christmas shopping done this morning. Hope everyone likes Halloween costumes.” – Jason Mustian (@jasonmustian)
My denial rate on loans has been less than 5% the past few years, and that number is only that high because appraised values killed some deals. Taking a look at this chart though; you may think twice about walking into a bank instead of hiring the author of this blog for your next loan.
And speaking of loans, it’s a beautiful time to buy or refinance a home. 30-year fixed rates have fallen to almost 4% with ARM rates about a point lower. As usual, rates depend on credit score, type of home, equity in the home, and how close the home is to a pizza delivery. If only there were a map to show us…
Don’t forget to remember that for any purchase or refinance loan over $240k I will waive all lender fees – a $1,295 savings! Please let any friends, family, coworkers, and awesome parents know about this great deal.
Halloween Quote of the Day 2: “Skeletons are a weird costume cuz you’ve already got one of those in your body. You’re pretty much a bone Oreo with skin frosting.” – Jeffrey Hadz (@Hadzilla)
Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who guessed Quentin Tarantino last week. Want to be entered into a drawing to win a Sesame Street T-shirt? Simply email me the answer to this week’s “Who Am I?” question. Good luck: “It was on this day in 1985 when my song about love hit #1 on the Top 40 Chart. The song was originally recorded by Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr., but in my career I could always take an original and make it better (see: Dolly). I went on to win a bunch of Grammys, but my downfall started when I married my husband in 1992, as he was savin’ all his drugs for me.”
