Rapping about Low Rates
Giving Up Quote of the Day: “When the world says, “Give up,” Hope whispers, “Try it one more time.” – from a fortune cookie I found when I was cleaning out my desk. (yes, I ate it)
This Date in Economic History: It was this week in 1862 that the Bureau of Engraving and Printing was formed. The bureau to this day is responsible for printing all United States currency. For germ freaks like me there’s comfort in the fact they will burn any $1, $5, $10, and $20 that was printed before 1996.
Wuss’up This Week: Every day reports about the economy are released that can sway interest rates in either direction. This week is all about employment as today we have ADP’s Employment Report, tomorrow Jobless Claims, and Friday’s biggie Employment Numbers for August. In the meantime…
…rates are still beautiful, Mortgage Fans. A 30-year fixed remains in the mid-3s (give or take) with ARM rates about a half a point lower. As usual rates will vary based on credit score, type of home, equity in the home, and if your home is haunted
Don’t forget to remember: Any purchase or refinance loans over $240k I will waive all lender fees – a $1,050 savings! Grab yourself a cup of instant karma and tell any friends, family, coworkers, or rapping auctioneers that can use this gift.
Giving Up Quote of the Day 2: “The only thing worse than finding out you were given up for adoption would be finding out it was Rick Astley who gave you up.” – @fistacuff
Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who guessed Bruce Springsteen last week. Want to be entered into a drawing to win a Car Eject Button? Just email me the answer to this week’s Who Am I? question. Good luck: “Yesterday I turned 44 so I’m old enough to know there’s a thing or two I could teach you simply by having you watch movies; maybe even some of the movies I have made. You see, it’s all about beauty. From my movies you would learn you don’t have to hide your face behind a mask, you would learn what not to put in your hair, and you’d learn marrying someone just as ugly will still have you living happily ever after.”
Rest in Peace, Gene. Even Depp will admit he couldn’t bring the magic of Wonka to the screen like you did. Some of Wilder’s genius found in the middle of this video
