Rates, Gates, and Fortune Cookies
Facebook Quote of the Day: “Facebook is a big party where the host is in a back room going through all the coats.” – @apelad
Did’ja Know: If you divide their net worths by their age, Carlos Slim and Bill Gates have each accumulated more than $100,000 in net worth for every hour they’ve been alive.
Wuss’up This Week: Every day reports about our economy are released that can sway interest rates in either direction. Today there is a 30-year Bond Auction (interest in these will help rates go down), tomorrow Jobless Claims, and on Friday the Retail Sales Report (*this should be good, I just bought a 6-month supply of Rogaine).
Interest Rates remain stable – a 30-year fixed is around 4.0% with ARM rates about .50% lower. As usual, rates will vary based on type of home, equity in the home, your credit score, and if you’re dumb enough to risk your life for a selfie
Don’t Forget to Remember: Any purchase loan over $240k I will waive HALF of your lender fees (an $895 savings) and for a refinance I will waive $1,500 in fees! Grab yourself a cup of instant karma and pass this info onto any friends, family, coworkers, or people that like floating hotel rooms that can use this gift!
Facebook Quote of the Day 2: “Facebook is like a jail. You sit around, waste time, have a profile picture, write on walls, and get poked by guys you don’t really know.” – Author Unknown
Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who guessed Gloria Estevan last week. Want to be entered into a drawing to win Offensive Fortune Cookies? Simply email me the answer to this week’s Who Am I? question. Good luck: “It’s my birthday today – I’ll take a donut over cake. (I managed a donut shop in movies with SNL alums). Those were just bit parts so maybe you’ll remember me as a modern-day Archie Bunker from my 1987-1997 TV show. Now you’ll just know me as modern.”
