Rising and Shining
Nap Quote of the Day: “Think what a better world it would be if we all, the whole world, had cookies and milk about three o’clock every afternoon and then lay down on our blankets for a nap.” – Robert Fulghum (author)
Wuss’up This Week: The biggest report this week is Durable Goods which is released tomorrow morning. This is an important report because it shows consumers’ willingness to spend on big-ticket items (these are items that are expected to last more than 3 years, like a refrigerator, car, or my hair brush). Also out tomorrow will be New Home Sales which is expected to be up 1.9%. It’s a mixed bag with the results of these reports. Should they come in better than expected the rates will spike up but that means the economy is on the right track. If these reports come in bad, rates will dip.
Interest Rate Update: Rates have been hovering around 5% for the 30-year fixed with ARMs about a point lower. As usual, rates vary based on type of property, equity in the property, credit score, and how long I can avoid the boot by not paying my tickets.
Nap Quote of the Day 2: “A power nap is when you sleep on someone who’s weaker than you.” – Demetri Martin (comedian)

The way I’m structured it’s hard to make a sequel since it would be just duplicating what we’ve seen. Again. I’ve got some good stars in this one – Woogie (Mary’s ex-boyfriend), a Best Actress nominee for a movie with a bunch of funerals, and a guy who if he was played by Tom Skilling never would’ve missed that storm coming. I am a movie called…”
