Gift Cards of Gratitude: If you’ve had a good experience working with me, write a positive review on Zillow and then email me to let me know you did. I’ll send you a $25 gift card!
Wuss’up This Week: Last week the economic news was economy-friendly, which is kryptonite to interest rates as they ticked up on Monday and never looked back. This week? Plenty of economic reports being released that can help drive rates back down, starting with: Today we have the Fed Meeting Adjourns which will center around when the Fed should start raising the prime rate. Tomorrow we have Weekly Jobless Claims (expected at 304k), and on Friday we have 10-year Treasury TIPS auction. (no clue what TIPS stands for, I just copied this out of the government’s economic release calendar so I would look smarter to you).
Did’ja Know…? If you divide Bill Gates’ net worth by his age he has accumulated more than $100,000 for every hour he’s been alive. If you divide my net worth by my age I’ve accumulated four mortgages on two properties and a 1974 Scooby-Doo lunchbox that’s worth $14 on eBay.
A lot of people ask me, “What are the best 99 soundtracks of the 90s?”Here you go.
Mortgage Stuff to Know: Rates for a 30-year fixed remain in the low 4s with ARM rates about a point lower. Rates vary based on type of home, equity in the home, credit score, and who you would call to make a video about ghosts. Don’t forget to remember that for any purchase or refinance loan over $240k I will waive all lender fees – a $1,295 savings!! Be a hero and pass this onto anyone who can use the break.
Prison Quote of the Day 2: ““The kid who would burn his marshmallow to a blackened crisp and say, “this is how I like it!” is in prison now.” – Michael J. Hudson (@michaeljhudson)
Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who guessed the Olsen Twins last week. Want to be entered into a drawing to win a Bionic Woman T-shirt? Simply email me the answer to this week’s “Who Am I?” question. Good luck: “On Sunday I turn 61 which may make people think I’m too old to have fun, but lately I’ve had a ball winning my Best Score Tony Award for writing the music for Kinky Boots. My prime was in the mid-80s when my unusual look (and music) won me Album of the Year and got me plenty of airtime on MTV. You might remember my appearance singing on the “We are the World” video, or a video that starred me, my real-life mom, brother, and dog, and a real life wrestler as my dad.”
