The Key to Happiness? Pancakes, Low Rates, and Winning the Lottery?
Pancake Quote of the Day: “A waffle is like a pancake with a syrup trap.” – Mitch Hedberg
This is how the Kennedy Expressway will look years after the world comes to an end.
Wuss’up This Week: Every day economic reports are released that can sway interest rates in either direction. Today and tomorrow there are auctions (10-yr Note, 30-yr Bond) – if there are enough interest in these rates will go down. On Friday we have Retail Sales and consumer sentiment – if these are bad rates will go down. None of this matters to me since I am winning the lottery tonight! Here’s hoping none of this happens to me.
Who said this quote: “They have nowhere to go but up.” Was it every high school teacher I ever had when referring to my grades, or was it Fed Chief Janet Yellen referring to rates? The answer of course is both, but fear not, Mortgage Fans, because rates are still incredibly low. A 30-yr fixed is in the high-3s/low-4s with ARM rates .50%-.75% lower. As usual rates will vary based on type of home, equity in the home, credit score, and if you like The Price is Right facts.
Don’t forget to remember any purchase or refinance loan over $240k I will waive ALL lender fees – a $1,050 savings! Please pass this info onto any friends, family, coworkers, or dog-cloners that can use this break.
Pancake Quote of the Day 2: “Blood is thicker than water, but maple syrup is thicker than blood. So pancakes are more important than family. There, I said it.” – @ArfiveDefour
Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who guessed Whitney Houston last week. Want to be entered into a drawing to win a Light Saber Rear Wiper Blade? Simply email me the answer to this week’s Who Am I? question. Good luck: “Today I turn 50. Hard to believe McDonalds hasn’t approached me for ads because of my TV nickname. Got my start in movies though. Remember me in Meatballs 3? I don’t either, I was too young – but you might remember me from Scream 3 playing a detective. Speaking of the number 3, the next time I get married it will be my third time. Maybe I should go the other way, like I did when I played Will’s closeted boyfriend on Will & Grace.”
