Did’ja Know…? Yesterday marked the first time total student loan debts surpassed one trillion dollars. I don’t know how the student loan rates are but for mortgage rates…
They are still looking great! 30-year fixed rates remain in the low 4s with ARM rates about a point lower. A reminder that rates vary based on type of home, equity in the home, credit score, and if your parents scored at a Bruce Springsteen concert.

Wuss’up This Week: Today and tomorrow we have auctions for 10-year Treasury Notes and 30-year Treasury James Bonds. A strong demand for these could lead to lower rates. What else can impact rates this week? Tomorrow’s Retail Sales (expected up 0.1%), and Friday’s PPI (producer price index – this is an indication of inflationary pressures) can both send rates up or down.
