You Are What You Eat

Here’s an interesting compilation of great commencement speeches put together by NPR.
We printed up gobs of money to help get the economy out of its funk after its collapse in 2008. Everyone said the Fed was making a mistake because inflation would cause rates to skyrocket. On Monday, SF Fed Prez John Williams said the bigger threat to the economy these days is too little inflation. Huh? Don’t look to me for answers, Mortgage Fans. I’m here still trying to figure out how I got this job with my low math ACT scores. Regardless, rates seem to be okay for now.
30-year fixed rates remain in the low 4s with ARM rates about a point lower. It’s important to note that rates vary based on credit score, type of home, equity in the home, or if it’s a tiny tricked-out home.
Don’t expect rates to do much this week as it’s a quiet week for economic reports. We might see rates trend higher towards the end of the week as the banks don’t like to leave low rates out there over a three-day weekend.
Don’t forget to remember that for any purchase or refinance loan over $240k I will eat all of the lender fees – a $995 savings! Be sure to tell any of your coworkers, friends, family, or people that like jokes that seem dirty but are not.
Happy 25th Anniversary to the greatest guy film ever made!!!
Eating Quote of the Day 2: “The closest I’ve come to eating better is eating butter.” – Jen Statsky (@JenStatsky)
Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who guessed Megan Fox last week. Want to be entered into a drawing to win a social media shower curtain? Simply email me the answer to this week’s “Who Am I?” question. Good luck: “In two days I turn 56. I’m part owner of the Seattle Sounders (the MLS soccer team in Seattle). I’m thinking maybe I bought them to take my mind of off how bad my hometown teams are. In 1995 I got my own sitcom which was named after me! And why not, it worked for Seinfeld, right? Hmmm… what else is right about me and my current show that I started hosting in 2007? That’s a play on words but if I last as long as the guy that was here before me you’ll be seeing me for a long time as long.”
