Bacon, Brexit, and low Rates

Bacon Quote of the Day:“They say you can’t buy happiness, but you can buy bacon. Which is pretty much the same thing.” – Author Unknown

This summer’s movies have been kind of crappy. Don’t want to sound old school but summer of ’86 in my opinion was the best ever. Here’s a look 30 years ago at what was released.

Speaking of ’86, rest in peace, Buddy.

Wuss’up This Week: Every day reports about the economy are released that can sway interest rates in either direction. Today we’ve got Pending Home Sales (expected: -1.0%), tomorrow Jobless Claims (expected 266k), and Friday the Drive to Des Moines to see Mother-in-law (expected: one speeding ticket).

Join us for Brexit? Apparently the banks don’t want to. Rates have come down a sliver when they should be down more. As my 14-year old daughter would say: “Whateves.” We’ve still got low rates. Today’s 30-year fixed remains in the mid-3s with ARM rates about a half a point lower. As usual rates will vary based on type of home, equity in the home, credit score, and if you think these pics are too perfect to be a coincidence.

Don’t forget to remember: Any purchase or refinance loan over $240k I will waive all lender fees – a $1,050 savings! Grab yourself a cup of instant karma and pass this info onto any friends, family, coworkers or people that aren’t worried about getting hair in their food that can use this gift.

Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who guessed last week. Want to be entered into a drawing to win .? Simply email the answer to this week’s Who Am I? question. Good luck: “It was on this day in 1995 I starred in my first-ever TV commercial (Pizza Hut). I’m not much of a TV guy, in fact music is how I made my money. I joined a popular band years ago, replacing a guy who was sent to march to the beat of his own drum. It was a great move for my career – we made millions before breaking up. After breaking up I formed a band in 1989 with a lot of famous musicians, and we still tour to this day. The author of this blog thinks the best song I ever wrote was inspired when I refused to eat calamari.”
