Girls! Low Rates! and the Dog Days of Summer!

Girl Quote of the Day: “Good girls go to heaven, bad girls go everywhere.” – Mae West

Did’ja Know: U.S. consumers racked up an estimated $51 billion worth of fast food on their credit and debit cards. That is equal to 10.2 billion Big Mac meals, 3 billion pounds of fries, and 1.7 billion gallons of Coke. All this reminds me of Phil Hartman in a great SNL skit imitating Bill Clinton

Wuss’up This Week: Every day reports are released about the economy that can sway interest rates in either direction. This is a big week because it’s all about jobs – today we’ve got the ADP Employment Report, tomorrow Jobless Claims, and Friday’s biggie the Employment Numbers from September (expected number – 168k new jobs).

Interest rates cannot be more beautiful, Mortgage Fans. Today the 30-year fixed remains in the low-to-mid 3s, with ARM rates about a half a point lower. As usual rates will vary based on type of home, equity in the home, your credit score, and if your last name is common in relation to where you live.

Don’t forget to remember: Any purchase or refinance loan over $240k I will waive ALL lender fees – a $1,050 savings! Grab yourself a cup of instant karma and pass this info onto any friends, family, coworkers, or dogs looking for one more shot of summer that can use this gift!

Girl Quote of the Day 2: “The cancellation of the Golden Girls must have been devastating to the shoulder pad industry.” – @AndyRichter

Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who guessed The Police last week. Want to be entered into a drawing to win a Crocodile Bookmark? Simply email me the answer to this week’s Who Am I? question. Good luck: “It’s my birthday today, and you’ve seen me recently in two movies where… actually, did you see me? I am of the Jewish faith, and I’ve made good money in the movies but wish I had the money of the Jewish guy I played in 2010 movie. I can’t complain though – I’m successful at my job, I’m still young, and I love my girlfriend – which reminds me to give this message to Springfield: stay away from her!”
