Low Rates, Lotto Winners

Bored Quote of the Day: “Boredom is the fear of self.” – Marie Josephine de Suin

Did’ja Know: America leads the world in credit card debt ($10 trillion) followed by the UK ($8 trillion), Germany ($4 trillion), and France ($3 trillion).

This Week in Economic History: Friday marks 35 years since IBM started selling the world’s first PC, selling 136,000 in the first year. Before this time nobody had a personal computer.

Wuss’up This Week: Every day reports about the economy are released that can sway interest rates in either direction. Today we’ve got a 10-year Note Auction (these make great birthday presents), tomorrow Jobless Claims, and on Friday the Retail Sales Report. (*this should come in low because I just returned a 3-pack of socks I bought at Nordstrom’s a couple months ago)

Interest Rates STILL remain low, Mortgage Fans! A 30-year fixed is in the mid-3s with ARM rates about a half a point lower. As usual rates will vary based on type of home, equity in the home, your credit scores, and if you are a dumb lottery winner

Don’t Forget to Remember: Any purchase or refinance loan over $240k I will waive ALL lender fees – a $1,050 savings! Grab yourself a cup of instant karma and tell any friends, family, coworkers, or women who find these old ads offensive

Bored Quote of the Day 2: “If you’re feeling bored, find a group photo of 4 girls on Instagram, and then comment, “You 3 look great!” Magic will happen afterwards…” – @MrScottEddy

Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to  those who guessed Martin Sheen last week. Want to be entered into a drawing to win an Up House Cushion-Balloon House Pin Holder (it looks better than the description). Simply email me the answer to this week’s Who Am I? question. Good luck: “Yesterday I turned 31 so I’m definitely not in the twilight of my career. Am I a pitcher? Mmm, sort of. I like to act, I’ve been in a movie with George Clooney (2009) and a movie with Michael Cera where I play his sibling. My favorite movie I was in starred an overweight woman who was also in Bridesmaids.”
