Pancakes, Corn, and Rates are Still Stable

Pancake Quote of the Day: “Blood is thicker than water but maple syrup is thicker than blood so technically pancakes are more important than family.” -@cervixsmash

Hey Mortgage Fans, be the first on your block to download my app to your phone.

Did’ja Know: There are exactly 293 ways to make change for a dollar. And in celebration of my Cinco de Julio today I’m giving you one of my favorite movie clips that tells you how many ways there are to make corn.

Wuss’up This Week: Every day reports about our economy are released into the wild that can sway interest rates in either direction. Today we’ve got… nothing really. But tomorrow ADP Employment Report, and Friday’s biggie – June Employment Numbers. If this comes in better than expected rates will go up, and if it falls short it’s possible rates will rally. But where the heck are rates, you ask?

30-year fixed rates remain in the high-3s/low-4s with ARM rates about a half a point lower. As usual rates will vary based on credit score, type of home, equity in the home, and if you’ve ever owned an expensive penthouse that you are now selling.

Don’t Forget to Remember: Any purchase or refinance loan over $240k I will waive HALF of the lender fees – an $895 savings! Grab yourself a cup of instant karma and pass this info onto any friends, family, coworkers, or people who like lighting facts that can use this gift.

Pancake Quote of the Day 2: “Eggnog, who thought that one up? ‘I wanna get a little drunk, but I also want some pancakes.’” – Dave Attell

Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who last week guessed Kathy Bates. Want to be entered into a drawing to win a Bob Ross Lego Set? Simply email me the answer to this week’s Who Am I? question. Good luck: “Did you hear the news, it’s my birthday today! I’ve got a lot to celebrate because sports made me rich. Yes, I know there’s drugs in sports but hey, I never really used them (but I wanted them!). While it’s not my first love I do enjoy dabbling in acting from time to time – hey, you might remember my bit part in an ‘85 movie about time travel.”
