Your most famous Oscar speeches here.

It was on this day in 1873 that was dubbed the Salary Grab Act. Congress passed a bill that doubled the salaries of legislators, the President, and Supreme Court Justices; the bill was eventually repealed at the demand of the public. Wow – so greedy! It’s a relief to know that our politicians today would never try anything like that, and only have our best interests at heart.

Wuss’up This Week: The first week of every new month brings three reports about jobs. Today we have the ADP Employment Report, tomorrow Jobless Claims, and Friday’s biggie the Employment Numbers for February (consensus: 190k new jobs). If these are in favor of the economy rates will go up, if the numbers come in less than expected there is a chance rates will trickle down.

Interest rates remain beautiful, Mortgage Fans. 30-year fixed rates remain in the mid-to-upper 3s, with ARM rates about .50% less. As usual rates will vary based on type of home, equity in the home, credit score, and if you enjoy unintentionally funny newspaper headlines.

Don’t forget to remember: any purchase or refinance loan over $240k I will waive all lender fees –a $1,050 savings! Grab yourself a cup of instant karma and pass this blog onto any friends, family, coworkers, or unicorn-haired people that can use this gift.

One size fits all (cats).

Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who last week guessed Cuba Gooding Jr. Want to be entered into a drawing to win Cassette Tape Table Placemats? Simply email me the answer to this week’s Who Am I? question. Good luck: “O-M-G I must be in heaven the way I feel so blessed. I turn 34 tomorrow and have had a great career which started when I posed topless for Gear Magazine when I was 17. The producers of the family-oriented show I was on that the time weren’t too happy with me, but I grew up and married a rock star. When he proposed I knew it was ring in the box because it was way too small to be something else.”
