Short-Term, Long-Term

Memory Quote of the Day: “I have memories – but only a fool stores his past in the future.” – David Gerrold

Instant Karma: If you’ve had a good experience working with me, write a positive review on Zillow and then email me to let me know you did. I’ll send you a $25 gift card!

Wuss’up This Week: This is a ginormous week of economic reports being released that can sway interest rates in either direction. Today, tomorrow, and Friday we have reports on Employment (Friday’s is the biggest – the number of jobs is predicted to be 295k+ with the unemployment rate predicted at 6.3%). Today’s biggest report is the Fed Beige Book, which reports on current economic conditions across the country. If things looks good in this report you’ll hear talk at the next Fed meeting about when to raise the prime rate.

Did’ja Know…? 70% of all consumer debt in the United States is mortgage debt. It’s also interesting to note that 94% of my day is spent stressing about 70% of my debt.

One way to reduce your debt is by refinancing with the author of this blog. Rates are super low, Mortgage Fans. 30-yr fixed rates remain in the low 4s with ARM rates about a point lower. As usual rates vary based on type of home, equity in the home, credit scores, and if your parents made you cool lunches.

Don’t forget to remember that for any purchase or refinance loan over $240k I will waive ALL lender fees – this is a savings of $995, and if you convert this to the metric system it’s probably more like $1,300. (I have no idea what that means but let’s run with it.)

Rest in Peace, Alice. I’m eating pork chops and apple sauce in your honor every day this week.

Memory Quote of the Day 2: “I wanna get rid of this memory foam mattress, but it knows too much.” – Author Unknown

Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who guessed Lenny Kravitz last week. Want to be entered into a drawing to win an Alice’s maid service coffee mug? Simply email me the answer to this week’s “Who Am I?” question. Good luck: “Today I turn 39. Speaking of Lenny Kravitz I appeared in his 1991 video for “Stand By My Woman” but you know me mostly from my 1999 movie for which I won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar, playing a mental patient with another patient who liked shoplifting in real life. Or maybe you know me from my marriage to my ex-husband whose name makes him sound like one of the Waltons. Or maybe you just know me for taking a friend’s husband.”
