Talking Quote of the Day: “If you wouldn’t write it and sign it, don’t say it.” – Earl Wilson (columnist)

Didja Know… The Federal Reserve System lists the following life spans: $1 bill – 22 months; $5 bill – two years; $10 bill – three years; my George Clooney haircut – 17 years (and counting); $20 bill – four years; $50 and $100 – nine years apiece. Coins typically survive in circulation for 30 years.

Wuss’up This Week: The most important economic report coming out this week that can cause rates to go up or down would be tomorrow’s Q1 Revised GDP (Gross Domestic Product) report. This report is a measure of US economic production, which is expected to be up 1.8% (but I just spent an hour this morning playing “Angry Birds,” so I predict this number will be lower than 1.8%).

Interest Rate Update: Interest rates are still cooperating. 30-year fixed rates are bouncing around from the mid to high 4s, with ARM rates about a point lower. How can you celebrate the world not coming to an end last Saturday? By refinancing or purchasing a home! And don’t forget that for any loan over 240k, I will waive all lender fees.

Talking Quote of the Day 2: “You shut your mouth when you’re talking to me.” – Mrs. Kroeger (Rebecca De Mornay), Wedding Crashers (2005)

Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to all who guessed Tori “I’m the world’s worst actress” Spelling as last week’s answer. Want to be entered into a drawing to win a Barry Schwartz PERL Mortgage pen (retails for $29.95)? Simply email me the answer to this week’s “Who Am I?” question. Good luck: “Tomorrow I turn 47. Most would think I’d have pursued acting as a career, since my dad was a producer for NBC and my mom played the character of Roxie Roker on The Jeffersons, but it was music that I got hooked on. Maybe it was the combination of the two that helped me meet my ex-wife (the hottest Huxtable) backstage at a New Edition concert. We eloped on her 20th birthday, even though many thought that was too young an age to get married…but sometimes you gotta let love rule.”
